Jude Olson currently serves on the faculty of 澳门天天彩, Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business MBA program, teaching 鈥淓motional Intelligence for Effective Leadership,鈥 鈥淢anaging Complex Organizations,鈥 and the 鈥淐apstone鈥 consulting skills course in the MBA program.

She is an accredited, professional coach and OD consultant providing leadership and transition coaching to individuals, teams and organizations鈥攂uilding on strengths for accelerated development. She is certified by the International Coaching Federation and was President of the North Texas Chapter. She coaches for local corporations. 

As Head Coach and Senior Consultant in Organization and Leadership Development with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company in Fort Worth, Texas for the past 17 years, she was recognized for bringing innovation in consulting with senior management on major culture change initiatives, knowledge management, collaborative teaming, organization design and executive coaching. Her primary client was the F-35 Lightning II leadership team during its first 13 years of startup. 

A native of Pennsylvania, she earned a B.S. in Journalism and M.Ed in Counseling Psychology from Temple University; and a Ph.D. in Human and Organization Systems from Fielding Graduate University. She published in the Elsevier book on 鈥淐omplex Collaboration鈥 (2004), a chapter in the (2008) Jossey-Bass book, 鈥淭he Handbook of High Performance Virtual Teams: A Toolkit for Collaborating across Boundaries鈥 and 鈥淚nventing the Joint Strike Fighter鈥擜pplying Appreciative Inquiry to Collaborative Startups鈥 in the OD Network Journal which became an E-Book (2013). Published in the Sage publication, 鈥淐ases and Exercises in Organization Development & Change鈥 (2017).

Dr. Olson is Faculty Advisor for Sigma Iota Epsilon - Sigma Zeta at 澳门天天彩, which is the student division of the Academy of Management and is an honorary and professional management fraternity. See

Why did you become a professor?
Develop the next generation of effective leaders who lead with values and emotional intelligence.

What do you enjoy most about teaching?
Understanding the challenges that emerging leaders face in the workplace and offering practical approaches to meet them.

What do you hope students gain from your courses?
Self-awareness about their own leadership style and strategies to motivate others to collaborate and innovate.  Consulting skills to lead effective change.

What did you do prior to entering academia?
Led organizational change initiatives and coached executives at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company in FW to design and build world class fighter aircraft.

What are you passionate about outside of the University?
Family, volunteer activities, writing and travel.    

What are your research interests?
How coaching can develop leaders. Managing in complex environments.
